What if the spaces we live in every day felt as restorative as the places we travel to escape?
That question has been quietly shaping how people think about home. Not as a backdrop to life, but as something more personal, more supportive, more grounding, more reflective of how we actually want to feel.
Over the past few years, we’ve watched a meaningful shift take place. Home has become more than somewhere to land at the end of a long day. It’s where we work, recharge, gather, and reconnect. And with that shift has come a deeper awareness of how our surroundings influence our mood, our routines, and our overall well-being.
This evolution is what inspired our rebrand
Founders in India during the brand’s early days
What we’ve always believed, said more clearly
From the beginning, Island Stone has been guided by a deep appreciation for natural materials and the way they shape how a space feels. Texture, color, and craftsmanship have always been at the heart of what we do.
In our early years, many customers were drawn to the sense of discovery our materials brought into a space, pebble tiles inspired by distant landscapes, surfaces that evoked travel and exploration. These elements offered a way to bring the feeling of somewhere else into the home.
Today, the conversation has shifted.
Design is no longer just about where a space can take you, it’s about how it supports you right where you are.
A softer way forward
You’ll begin to see us talk more about soft living.
Not as a trend, but as a mindset.
Soft living is an approach to design that prioritizes comfort, connection to nature, and emotional well-being. It favors spaces that feel relaxed rather than staged, layered rather than rigid, and personal rather than performative.
It’s about creating environments that support real life, quietly and consistently.
Materials play an essential role in this. Texture can ground a space. Color can shift a mood. Natural elements can bring a sense of calm that’s difficult to replicate any other way. These choices, while subtle, shape how we move through our homes every day.

A refreshed identity for Island Stone & Tile
What you’ll start to notice
As we move forward, you’ll see changes in the look and feel of our communications. They’re designed to feel more intimate, grounded, and emotionally resonant.
Island Stone & Tile: A small evolution in our name that better reflects who we are today. Pebble tile will always be part of our foundation, but our world has expanded into ceramic, glass, timber, and more.
Natural Palette: Our updated palette is pulled from the natural world. Muted pastels, ambient earthy greens, and soft terracottas create warmth and a calming sense of balance.
Soft Living: You’ll see photography and styling that supports soft living. Spaces that feel nourishing, not staged. Less “look at this,” more “imagine being here.”
Adventure isn’t gone. It’s just closer.
This evolution isn’t us turning away from the spirit of travel and adventure. It’s us recognizing what those experiences have always been about: how we want to feel. Rested. Clear. Reconnected. The difference now is where people are seeking that feeling. Instead of happening somewhere else, the journey is happening at home.
The only difference now is the location.
Instead of happening somewhere else, that journey is happening at home.
What we’re excited to share next
As part of this shift, we’ll be sharing more ideas about biophilic design, natural materials, and the ways our products can help create spaces that feel grounded and restorative. We’re not interested in turning wellness into marketing language. We’re interested in learning, staying honest, and sharing what’s meaningful as we go.
Because at the end of the day, we’re building this next chapter with you. Designers, architects, homeowners, showroom partners, and people who care about spaces that feel as good as they look.
